When I think back
2007 was a great year
Got my highs and lows
Twists and turns
Year 1 Sem 2 was awesome, grades-wise
Did the crazy sort of things
I would never have thought of
Like, filming a homosexual film
For Creative Thinking class
And the social escort industry
For BGS class, totally insane
Liked a girl, she didn't like me (thank god/goddess of mercy)
Then summer came
Fearing boredom, I signed up
FTB '07 Organising Committee, Programmes
Planned and conducted the complusory camp
For all SMU Freshmen.
Some love it
Some hated it
Others went "errr ok lor"
Made friends, took many photos and fell in love with it.
Changed my life forever. So by twist of fate,
Now I'm FTB'08 chairperson =)
I will work hard, I promise.
So summer ended
Year 2 arrived
Modules went 10 x harder
Like eating tau huay
To eating tau kee
The profs drone and drone
Students listen and mourn
The demise of mickey mouse modules
Audit took 2 days to read, every week
Company law took 2 days as well
Finance another 2
AIS another 2
Sia la, how to find 8 days in a week?
Sacrifice finance lor, prof so slack
New prof for AIS, just humtum bola
Then still got training for Singapore Marathon
Everyday 24 hours also not enough
So how? Sleep less lor.
But end up sleeping in seminar. And in the library
Managed to tahan till the end
But I buang-ed my car
Against another car
3 weeks before exams
Morale dropped drastically
Dad was mad
But my pillar of support
So I tried to pick myself up
Then 4 days later
My laptop drank tea
Literally.
No more morale left.
No laptop for a week.
But great friends I had
Supported me as I picked myself up
Again.
And prepared for exams
Fin and Comp Law same day
Brains fried after both papers
Audit didn't answer 1 question
Thought I die liao
AIS,
I said "F**K"
When I flipped the first page
To the second.
Only to see
Things i didn't study
Somehow
Grades were very surprising
For the better I mean =)
Although studied a lot less than year 1
Now I know
What is work-play balance
Still got my cca
Got chosen for EXCO position
Financial Secretary I became
A bit like CFO, but more sai kang to do
They call me the money-man
Actually I do accounts
More than I handle money
Oh ya
Made a lot of new friends
From Li Ka Shing Library
And re-affirmed old ones
Now got a new self-christened club
L.A.C.
Libary Appreciation Club
I'm an honourary member
No, the club is not real
Just for permanent residents
Of the library
Now got my sights on a target
Hope I can score soon
Anyway, looking forward to 2008
Taking 4 mods
Pple say confirm will die
Want to see how badly I die
Looking forward
To new experiences
Because life
Is more than studying
