Birthdays

Ok I'm a bit late(wonder why i always have late entries...) but this is what happened over the weekend.

Des' Birthday...

Yup des' birthday fell on Saturday. After days of contemplation(including the night we spent till 4am at drew's house!) on where to dine, des finally settled on The Altivo Bar on the very top of Mount Faber.

D'Masculinity! Des' right behind the flower pot

I was quite charmed by the place. Nice ambience, great scenery overlooking the city and live music as well. Food was ok though. Nonetheless a nice place to bring your loved ones there.

We had to alter our plans after the dinner. Wanted to drink at The Glass Bar but it was packed. So off we went to Andy's house for our binging session.

Jinfu and Des. Before the drinks.

As the birthday tradition of 4D decreed, the birthday boy had to down his ale.(unless you bola kechil) And boy was Des filled to the brim as we kept giving him shot after shot of bailey's. And vodka. The result: A bad alcohol rash and an hour of non-stop puking. The boy can't hold his ale! Just kidding haha. But it was very sporting of des to drink with us even though he does not normally drink. Cheers to the man!

Stayed over at di's house and returned home the next day.

But but, the partying wasn't over yet...

Pang's Birthday

Pang's birthday was one day after des'. Pang(Gerald) is one of the first few people from arts fac whom I knew(I'm from science =]) from the j1 australian trip. Subsequently got to know more arts people when I played soccer with them. The rest was history. They are definitely a cool bunch of people.

Pang held the celebrations at a chalet. Reached there earlier than most people. Met up with many of the arts people that I had not seen in ages. Ate and caught up with many people. The usual stuff: uni course, future etc. Stayed overnight there in the end. At around 5 am, 7 of us went to play dota at a lan shop at downtown east.

There was a comical scene at the lan shop. When we got to the lan shop, we asked the owner what was the score between France and South Korea. The MAN answer:" 1-1. Henry scored for France." *Sniggers* Many of us tried to stifle our laughter. Nope, nothing unusual but he said "Henry" in the ENGLISH pronounciation. Wahahaha!

Went home at 7am and slept till 3pm.

Oh, and when I thought there were no more birthdays left...

Chng's Birthday

Chng, the other Gerald, invited me to his birthday as well. It was held at his house on the evening of Tuesday. Went with Weizhong before that to buy him a gift and we got him a sling bag. Chng's affair was much more simple and cosier 'cos he didn't invited too many people. Met up with the arts people again! And some other tpjc friends whom I had not seen since graduating. Watched Ecuador Vs Germany before leaving. Germany was awesome, giving Ecuador no chance at all in the game.

Oh btw, Germany, Ecuador, England, Sweden, Portugal, Mexico, Holland and Argentina have all qualified for the second round of the world. Hopefully Ghana and Australia will make it through tonight. Keep your eyes glued on the motionbox.

Au Revoir!
